Renato "Babalu" Sobral will, indeed, lose his $25,000 bonus for winning his fight at UFC 74 over David Heath. Babalu was found guilty, by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, of holding a choke too long that led to Heath going unconciouss.
The NSAC did not, however, suspend the fighter. The UFC has released Babalu, but he is now free to fight with other organizations.
